10th Famous GAISBERG RALLY in Salzburg, Austria
‹ Back to the list
The Oldtimer Rally, which has reverted to its roots since the start of the 21st century, certainly proved a good day out for the international participants and 220 guests who accepted the invitation of Salzburg’s VIP jeweler “Koppenwallner” to come to the traditional “Kiosk Tomaselli” Hotspot in the historical center of Salzburg to watch the start of the City Grand Prix. Zenith served as Co-Sponsor for 2 beautiful oldtimers from Koppenwallner jeweler’s: a Chevron B 16 and a Huffaker Genie Mk VIII. Hans Knauß – the legendary Austrian ski-racer - started the race at the wheel of the latter mechanical beauty.
The Old Town of Salzburg - designated a world heritage site by UNESCO - is impressive not only as the birthplace of 18th century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, but also because it combines different architectural styles and charming small streets within a narrow space: the Middle Ages, Romanesque, Renaissance and baroque have all left their architectural marks throughout Salzburg. Surrounded by this picturesque setting, many VIPs and Journalists flocked to the Hotspot venue, where the Pilot collection 2012 and the spectacular Christophe Colomb where on show and naturally attracted the attention of all invitees.
