For its first Manufacture Edition, ZENITH is revisiting a secret part of the El Primero story with the production of a dial originally intended as a prototype for the A386 with three shades of blue that was discovered in Charles Vermot's secret attic.
Originally unveiled in 1969 as the world’s first automatic chronograph calibre, the El Primero remains one of the most revered movements over 50 years later; a testament to its unrivaled precision. The combination of a high-frequency 5Hz escapement, automatic winding and a column-wheel clutching system continues to set the standard.
