The A3817 was first released in 1971, and stood out from other El Primero chronographs of the time by combining the sportier steel tonneau-shaped case with the iconic tri-colour dial as well as design elements like the "shark tooth" scale.
EL PRIMERO 400 MOVEMENT
Originally unveiled in 1969 as the world’s first automatic chronograph calibre, the El Primero remains one of the most revered movements over 50 years later; a testament to its unrivaled precision. The combination of a high-frequency 5Hz escapement, automatic winding and a column-wheel clutching system continues to set the standard.
